The guide consists of six parts and contains a brief overview of historical aspects of sintering, powder fabrication and characterization methods, powder shaping and compaction processes, and the basics of solid state and liquid phase sintering. The guide also contains a description of advanced sintering methods and sintering processes found in additive manufacturing. Classical and novel materials obtainable by sintering are described. Current trends in the development of sintering science are discussed. Each part of the guide is followed by control questions. Problems with solutions are offered to help the student solve problems encountered in real research and industrial sintering practice. Problems for self-study are also provided, many of which were designed by the author based on her own research experience. Topics for self study are provided and can be used for students’ presentations at seminars.

Аннотация: The classification of the technical building catastrophes of reinforced concrete structures on the degree of predictability is presented. The terms of the proposed classification were taken from one of classifications of natural, geological catastrophes. In the general case catastrophes are divided into slow catastrophes («Trend» «and «Extremum») and quick catastrophes («Stripping»). The used classification appears to be a more justified and objective for building catastrophes than for natural ones. The author has managed to classify the role of the human factor in the manifestation of catastrophes. Catastrophes of the types «Trend» and «Extremum» to a greater or lesser extent depend on organizational and social factors. The role of human factor in catastrophe of the type of «Extremum» is the lack of knowledge of properties of materials in work of structures and their long-term performance. The «Extremum» is connected with scientific and technical problems which are discussed more specifically in the monograph. The new conception of obtaining a stage of a structure under every degree of loading includes parameters of reserve of serviceability of a structure. The parameter of serviceability coincides with the information entropy in character of changes of their curves. This permits the use of scale coefficient in design. Using serviceability criterion means a design on a new stage in the normal method of the limit states, i. e. the longitudinal crack resistance. Introduction of a new criterion of serviceability taking into account a scale coefficient promotes determining a stage of work and an assessment of expedience of rehabilitation of a structure damaged by unknown load. In the monografe there are examples of analyses of well-know building catastrophes. The book is addressed to the attention of engineering and scientific and technical staff while designing for the purpose of protection of the environment from technical catastrophes. The book must be helpful for inspection, observation, strengthening, rehabilitation and reconstruction of structures in the condition of the liquidation of the consequences of catastrophes and wrecks. After brief introduction of all hydrogen isotopes (H, D and T), characteristics of hydrogen as the fuel for fusion reactors are summarized. Interactions of gaseous hydrogen with metals, carbon materials, and ceramics are summarized with particular consideration of the effect of impurity oxygen and water. The interactions with surface of energetic hydrogen are separately discussed. The second part summarizes the hydrogen interactions with materials specified as plasma facing materials (C and W), structure materials (SS and low activation steels), and Li ceramics as breeding materials for a fusion reactor. The final remarks are given to describe perspectives and recommendations for future works. This book is intended for students, postgraduates and researchers specializing in the field of controlled fusion and hydrogen energy, and will be useful for a wider range of readers interested in technologies related to the interaction of hydrogen with materials. This edition was supported by the Competitiveness Program of NRNU MEPhI in the framework of the Russian Academic Excellence project.

Alongside with a statement of fundamental concepts of magnetism including features of isotropic and anisotropic exchange interaction, and the theory of spin transitions, the central part of the monography is devoted to the analysis of magnetochemistry’s opportunities at the description of a structure and properties of bi- and tetranuclear complexes as well as supramolecular architectures based mainly on hydrazones, azomethenes and their analogues. The interrelation between features of an electronic and geometrical structure of complexes and character of exchange effects is considered, the magneto-structural correlations in the important modelling objects for directed design of one, two and threedimensional magneto-ordered structures have been revealed.

Аннотация: The book is the first part of the monograph «Classification of countable models of complete theories» consisting of two parts. In the monograph, a classification of countable models of complete theories with respect to two basic characteristics (Rudin-Keisler preorders and distribution functions for numbers of limit models) is presented and applied to the most important classes of countable theories such as the class of Ehrenfeucht theories (i. e., complete first-order theories with finitely many but more than one pairwise non-isomorphic countable models), the class of small theories (i. e., complete first-order theories with countably many types), and the class of countable first-order theories with continuum many types. For realizations of basic characteristics of countable complete theories, syntactic generic constructions, generalizing the Jonsson-Fraïssé construction and the Hrushovski construction, are presented. Using these constructions a solution of the Goncharov-Millar problem (on the existence of Ehrenfeucht theories with countable models which are not almost homogeneous) is described. Modifying the Hrushovski-Herwig generic construction, a solution of the Lachlan problem on the existence of stable Ehrenfeucht theories is shown. In the first part, a characterization of Ehrenfeuchtness, properties of Ehrenfeucht theories, generic constructions, and algebras for distributions of binary semi-isolating formulas of a complete theory are considered. The book is intended for specialists interested in Mathematical Logic.
