Аннотация: The textbook contains the information about the main methods of clinical examination of a therapeutic patient, including the basic laboratory and instrumental methods of the patient’s examination and their diagnostic value. It contains tests for self-control of individual knowledge. The materials of the textbook are presented in accordance with the Federal State Educational Standards on Higher Education for the specialty “General Medicine” and aim at professional competence formation such as “Ability and readiness to assess the patient’s condition, recognize syndromes threatening the patient’s life such as clinical death (the arrest of vitally important functions of the human organism — that is circulatory arrest and (or) respiratory standstill); recognize conditions resulting from sudden acute disorders, chronic disease exacerbation which do not present immediate threat to the patient’s life, requiring emergent medical care” (Professional Competence-1); “Ability and readiness to conduct patient’s examination in order to make diagnosis” (Professional Competence-2) and aimed at students studying the “Propaedeutics of internal diseases” discipline.
