The library of Astana Medical University is a creative, innovative library, closely integrated into university life, supporting learning, teaching, and research, while providing access to numerous electronic platforms and promoting the university’s intellectual assets.
Our library offers a collection of books and modern electronic resources that correspond to the university’s educational programs. It continuously interacts with faculties and departments to assess the needs of students.
The library collection consists of 493,528 copies of educational, instructional, and scientific literature, including 136,804 copies in Kazakh, 329,914 in Russian, and 26,810 in English. Students also have access to periodicals from a wide range of fields.
This year, the library’s collection was enriched by 12,000 new books, including 7,030 in the state language. One of the key acquisitions for our library was 360 copies of the book Atlas of Human Anatomy by American surgeon Dr. Frank Netter. For over 30 years, Frank Netter’s Atlas of Anatomy has been the best and most popular anatomy textbook for medical students worldwide. It emphasizes the clinical significance of anatomy, providing a way to study the structure of the human body that is crucial for becoming a successful medical professional.
As the information, educational, and cultural center of the university, the library of Astana Medical University greatly contributes to the provision of quality education and the training of highly qualified healthcare professionals.
